Joint Marketing and Promotions Available for Your Location
Your Lottery sales representative can work with you to develop the promotion that will best meet your business needs. The joint marketing we develop around these promotions can help draw more customer traffic to your location and create more loyalty from existing customers. Below is a list of available promotions.
- Our “Star” promotion is where the Lottery’s sales representative places star stickers on the back of randomly selected Scratch tickets you have. And for the customer who purchases that Scratch ticket, they get a free Scratch ticket.
- Buy $X Scratch tickets and get $Y Scratch tickets free. For example, buy $5 Scratch, get $1 Scratch free.
- A “Second Chance“ promotion sees non-winning tickets entered into an in-store drawing for a prize.
- The “Ask for the Sale” promotion offers customers a free Scratch ticket if the clerk doesn’t ask if they want to purchase a Scratch ticket. Retailers are supplied with a quantity of Scratch tickets. Any that are left over after the promotion remain with the retailer.
- On the “Raffle” promotion, with a qualifying wager (i.e. $5 Lotto), customers get a raffle ticket entry for a drawing for a free prize (groceries for a year, other product). The drawing for the winning ticket is held at your location.
- For the “Nth Ticket” promotion, every “nth” ticket of a qualifying wager (i.e. $5 Lotto) wins a free prize (i.e. $25 gas card).
- Our “Discount” promotion allows every qualifying wager (i.e. $5 Lotto) to get a coupon providing a discount on a product supplied by you or a co-op partner (i.e. fountain soda, deli sandwich, loaf of bread, etc.).
- In-store promotional events can include activities such as Buy a $5 Mega Millions ticket and roll the oversized dice or spin the wheel to win a prize.
